Here's the latest from the past week:
15 SHOCKING REVELATIONS FROM THE DOJ'S FACE ACT WEAPONIZATION REPORT: On April 14, the Department of Justice's Weaponization Working Group released a nearly 900-page exposé detailing how the Biden Administration enforced the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Thomas More Society has published a breakdown of 15 of the most significant revelations in the report, which represented clients in nearly every major FACE Act prosecution it examines.
Among the revelations:
· In every single pardoned FACE Act case, DOJ's direction came from the abortion industry—not from purported victims or local law enforcement.
· The National Abortion Federation compiled a 137-page dossier on pro-life individuals, including addresses, photographs of spouses and minor children, and drivers' license numbers, and handed it to the DOJ and FBI.
· Biden DOJ prosecutors sought sentences more than double for pro-life defendants compared to pro-abortion defendants.
· And in internal emails, one prosecutor called Thomas More Society "quite the racket" and predicted our attorneys would be "particularly . . . Unpleasant."

CITY OF LINCOLN, NE PUT ON NOTICE TO REPEAL UNCONSTITUTIONAL COUNSELING CENSORSHIP: Thomas More Society has sent a formal demand letter to the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, calling on the city to repeal its "Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity Change Efforts" ordinance in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark ruling in Chiles v. Salazar. Under the ordinance, a licensed counselor is forbidden by law from discussing anything with a minor other than affirming same-sex attractions or gender transition. The demand letter is one of the first legal actions targeting a local ordinance since the Chiles ruling.
"Lincoln has made it illegal for a licensed counselor to offer anything other than one government-approved answer to a struggling child. That is not protection. It is a gag order. And it clearly is not in the best interest of such a vulnerable child," said Matt Heffron, TMS Senior Counsel.

PETER BREEN ON THE DREW MARIANI SHOW: California is trying to stop pregnancy centers from telling women about Abortion Pill Reversal. Two years into the lawsuit, the state still can't point to a single woman who was harmed. Peter Breen, Executive Vice President and Head of Litigation at Thomas More Society, joined The Drew Mariani Show to discuss the case ahead of next week's Summary Judgment hearing in Oakland.

THOMAS MORE SOCIETY RESPONDS TO SENTENCING OF PRO-LIFE SPIDERMAN, MAISON DESCHAMPS: Thomas More Society issued a statement following the sentencing of pro-life advocate Maison DesChamps, known as Pro-Life Spiderman, in connection with his February 2024 climb of the Las Vegas Sphere to raise funds for a pregnant mother facing homelessness who had scheduled an abortion due to financial strain. The climb successfully raised enough money to keep the mother off the street, and her child was carried to term. DesChamps was sentenced on a misdemeanor charge to 45 days in jail, which he is currently serving, and ordered to pay $77,000 in damages that Thomas More Society argues he did not cause.
"We zealously represented Maison DesChamps and ensured the court had a full understanding of the purpose behind his actions, including his noble and successful efforts to raise funds for pregnant mothers," said Sean Sullivan, TMS Special Counsel. "We will continue to evaluate next steps in light of this outcome and review available legal options."
