Ann Scheidler
Ann Scheidler is an influential figure in the pro-life movement, serving as the board chair for the Thomas More Society and as the Vice President of the Pro-Life Action League. She has been involved in pro-life work since 1973, when her husband Joe Scheidler began full-time pro-life activism.
In 1980, Ann helped found the Pro-Life Action League and has been closely involved with all aspects of the organization’s work ever since. She is a passionate advocate for pro-life activism and sidewalk counseling, and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs to share her expertise.
Ann holds a bachelor’s degree from Mundelein College and is the mother of seven children, grandmother of twenty-six, and great-grandmother of three. Her tireless dedication to the pro-life cause has inspired many and made a significant impact on the movement.


Tom Brejcha
Tom Brejcha is a renowned legal expert with four and a half decades of experience in federal and state courts. As the founder, president, and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society, he has spent the last twenty-six years championing the sanctity of life, religious liberty, family values, and election integrity.
Hailing from Chicago‘s South Side, Tom graduated with honors from Notre Dame and earned a Root-Tilden Scholarship to New York University Law School. As an Army Captain in Vietnam, he received a Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal. In 1986, Tom volunteered to defend pro-life leader Joe Scheidler in the landmark NOW vs. Scheidler case.
After numerous challenges and three U.S. Supreme Court appearances, Tom prevailed, leading to the formation of the Thomas More Society in 1997. The organization has since evolved into a leading public interest law firm with active cases and skilled attorneys nationwide. Tom has testified before U.S. Congressional Committees, appeared on national and local media, and received numerous awards for his work. As a respected speaker, he shares his expertise at prestigious conferences. Tom lives in Evanston, IL, with his wife Deborah, and they have two sons, Matthew and Peter.


Andrew Bath
Andrew M. Bath is a distinguished attorney and a dedicated board member of the Thomas More Society. He has been actively involved in the pro-life movement for over thirty years and has served on numerous nonprofit and for-profit boards, including the Wisconsin Right to Life Political Action Committee.
Andrew‘s legal expertise and commitment to conservative values have made him a valuable asset to the Thomas More Society, where he previously worked as a Special Counsel before stepping into his current position as Executive Vice President and General Counsel in 2017.
He has consulted on many nationally significant cases involving issues of life and religious freedom and currently serves on the board of directors for the Catholic Bar Association. Andrew earned his Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School and his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.


Thomas Olp
Thomas Olp is a respected attorney and a valued board member of Thomas More Society. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. He also holds an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center.
Tom has had a distinguished legal career, practicing labor and employment law and general litigation in Washington, D.C., for nearly a decade before serving as Vice President and General Counsel for Connor-Winfield Corporation in Aurora, IL. Tom‘s dedication to public service is exemplified by his involvement in various nonprofit organizations, including The Connerstone-Forum, the Illinois Girls‘ Lacrosse Association, and Toward Educating America‘s Children. He has also served on his parish‘s advisory council and St. Vincent de Paul conference, and has led service trips to Guatemala and the Congo. Tom is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and has played an important role in several of the Thomas More Society‘s major cases.


John M. Breen
John M. Breen is a law professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and serves as board member for Thomas More Society. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, majoring in the Program of Liberal Studies, and graduated with highest honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
John went on to attend Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Board of Student Advisors and clerked for Judge Boyce F. Martin, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. After practicing commercial litigation at Sidley & Austin in Chicago, John pursued a teaching career, joining the faculty at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1996.
His scholarly writings and expertise span a wide range of topics including commercial law, legal ethics, and Catholic social thought and the law. He has served as a legal expert witness in several cases involving professional responsibility and is a founding member and past president of the Arab American Bar Association of Illinois. John has also served on the board of directors for the Catholic Conference of Illinois since 2012, advising the state‘s Catholic bishops on public policy matters.


Edward Morse
Edward Morse is a law professor at Creighton University and serves on the Thomas More Society board. With a robust legal background, he clerked for the Honorable Deanell R. Tacha at the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and was associated with the law firm Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan. Admitted to the bars of Nebraska and Georgia and a CPA in Iowa, Morse brings a wide range of experience to his academic and advocacy work. His scholarship focuses on taxation, technology, and regulation, often through interdisciplinary collaboration, and he is a frequent speaker and consultant, notably at the Great Plains Tax Institute. He has also held leadership roles, including past service as vice-chair of the ABA Cyberspace Law Committee.
Beyond his academic contributions, Morse is deeply committed to public interest and faith-based initiatives. He currently serves as president of the Father Flanagan League Society of Devotion, advancing the cause for sainthood of Father Edward J. Flanagan, the founder of Boys Town. At Creighton, he teaches courses including Antitrust, Business Associations, Federal Income Taxation, and Law & Economics, while also lecturing in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. From 2016 to 2018, he served as president of the university faculty.
