Nathan Loyd serves as Staff Counsel at Thomas More Society. A Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Loyd brings a strong record of military and public service to the firm's mission of defending life, family, and religious liberty.
Before joining Thomas More Society, Loyd served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force. He earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an M.A. in Theology and Bioethics from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Transitioning to law, he graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020.
Loyd's commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom and the military. He has served as president of a nationwide hybrid-homeschooling association serving over 1,000 children. He resides in Georgia with his wife and their eight children.
